Frequently Asked Questions About the Ryno Truck
Will a front wheel drive chair work? No, only mid wheel and rear wheel drive chairs at this time.
How do I purchase the chassis? Do you have a local dealer? Yes, we have two local dealers here in Clearwater. Their contact information is on the truck page of our website at the bottom.
Why buy the chassis locally in Clearwater? This saves one way of shipping, and our dealers are giving great pricing to Ryno clients.
What options conversion wise do I have? A few main ones are- Lonseal Flooring(rubber) Extra headroom (Except on driver 4x4) Rim and Tire packages, Weston Bullbar, Flow Master dual exhaust,Sloping of rear wall, to name a few.
How long has Ryno been doing handicapped conversions? Edward Pic VP has been in the mobility field for 19 years. Ryno has been providing wheelchair accessible trucks since 2003.
What new vehicles are you going to be providing? The Ryno Ramptruck is complete and available, and we will be looking at the Dodge MegaCab within the next week.
What trucks do you provide now? We do the Nissan Titan and the Chevy Silverado as well as GMC Sierra. We now offer the Ryno Ramp truck and is the FIRST in the world.
Do you do SUV’s? Ryno Mobility does not, EPIC Manufacturing LLC does, they build the Chevy Suburban driver conversion as of now.
How reliable are the wheelchair lifts? Ryno uses only the Braun UVL which has a proven track record of reliability and quality. Edward Pic was employed by Braun Corporation for 16 years before starting Ryno Mobility.
What opens the doors? Ryno uses proprietary door openers and a printed circuit board to open and close the doors. Also the factory latches are still in use, so in the event you need to open close the doors manually, just pull the actuator pins and open the door. The factory door latches will keep the doors secure while you go in for service.

What is the standard Suspension lifts on the trucks? 1500 2WD=3” front / 3” rear 2500HD 2WD= 2” front / 3” rear 2500HD 4X4=2” front / 3” rear Nissan Titan= 2” front / 1.5” rear Optional: 1500 2WD= 6” suspension lift (Recommended by Ryno) Nissan Titan= 6” suspension lift 2500HD 2WD AND 4WD= Torsion keys for the front 2WD key is for leveling the truck and 4WD key is for lift clearance
What is the largest Tire that can be put on the Ryno Trucks? We recommend 33” tires max. We have done may of these option upgrades and we know they work. In some cases clients have installed up to 35” tires and have had no problems, some trimming of the front bumper plastic is needed with the larger tires.
Why should I buy a Ryno Truck and not a minivan? Simple, Can you tow a boat, go hunting, haul wood or supplies in minivan? For years all that was available was vans, if you were physically challenged you had to drive a van. Why drive a van when you can drive a truck? Many young vets and clients are so happy to have a choice, no more vans that announce to everyone “ Hey I am in a chair” People are amazed when you pull up in a stylish truck, open the doors and get in or out. They stop and say “WOW” look at that!!! That is Ryno Mobility’s main goal to provide “YOU” the client with a clear winner and “CHOICE” in what you want to drive.
What state agencies approve the Ryno Truck? Your states Vocational Rehab, Veterans Administration, and many others. We have worked hard to get our trucks approved through engineering and design with most state agencies. They will help with paying for the conversion part of the Ryno Truck.
